Some things never change.

Shiva has really been getting into my old Legos recently and enjoying the electric trains a lot. After playing with them for a while she asked for a 'Darth Vader Train.' Who am I to disappoint?

Pictures From My Wife!

As you can see things aren't normal at the Freemantle's. What I mean is, that dogs don't usually like to eat ice cubes as far as I know, and Son's and Father's don't usually react this way when they are asked to put the dishes in the dishwasher. Who can sleep like our dog "Odie?" Our cat "Ashes" is obsessesed with the DOG FOOD!

A little update.

No sign of Cooper. This is day 4. I made posters and drove around Port Orchard. Someone at this coffee shop called 'The Bethel Buzz' said that they saw a dog that looked like Cooper but when they tried to call him he ran away. That sounds like something he would do. Tyler and I have called the pound two times. No sign of him. So we're just praying that we either find him or he is somewhere safe. I miss him.

Also, Tyler has moved into my place of residence. AKA my Mother's house. He isn't having much luck at home right now. and Madison could come early. So, he is staying in our cottage and I sleep in the living room. But that is ok, because the couch helops me not move around alot at night. It's Grandma's old couch too! Haha. But, I would appreciate prayers for Tyler too.

Other than that, I have an appt. in half an hour. So I need to go.
Thanks for reading.

Amazing Restaurant

This weekend Daniel & I & a couple in our neighborhood went to the restaurant, Marrakesh, in Seattle. It is a Morrocan themed place where you sit on the floor, eat with your hands, & watch a belly dancer throughout the night. An amazing experience. Just thought I would share a few pictures from the night.

The four of us sitting down (trying to get comforable with four inch boots & a pillow in the corner of the table.) about to order.

Erin belly dancing with none other than the belly dancer herself.

Have a fabulous day everyone!

Sidenote: Daniel is feeling A WHOLE LOT better.. Just still can't go back to flying yet. Oh darn, I have to keep him home longer than three weeks for once!!! What's a girl to do? :)

pray please

my huband just found out he lost his grandmother. please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of loss.

sort of a hairdo

billie loves to put diapers on his head (yes, clean ones). while i was reading the blog he came in looking like this and i thought it was appropriate for todays blogging.
here is a great picture of billie with grandpa. i thought this was such a great shot. i'm gonna frame it in the house. don't they look like they have the same exact expression?

Crazy Hair Day

It's Crazy hair day at Shiva's Pre-school today. Inspired by a similar hairdo my sister wore years ago Shiva went with the reverse braid.

It's me...Bro'...er Uncle Rick

Well, what can I say...just retired and nothing but time on my hands...and here I am, finally getting around to posting something. I'm enjoying checking out this site, as there seems to be something new just about every day...Great idea Mark & Jo!!! Anyway, if you want pictures, here are a few I took just this morning.

Just a few more "pics" taken on Alesta's birthday

As Alesta mention in her post, I dropped by her home on her birthday for a little "quality time".

After I left, I received a message from Devonne saying that she and Billie (the best grandson in the world) were on their way to Alesta's. Needless to say, I turned around and went back to spend some time with Billie (and Devonne, of course).

I can't decide who looks more impish in this picture.

Anyway, it was a good day for me as well as Alesta.

Patty is painting again

Finally after much time away from my easel, I have started again. This picture depicts man in his naked humble state covered by an eagles wing which my inspiration comes from Psalms 57:1. Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge in thee; And the shadow of Thy wings I will take refuge, Until destruction passes by.

:(.

Our dog ran away.

Happy birthday to me!

Yesterday was my 19th birthday. I woke up to a bunch of little notes all over the house from Lydia. Then Dad came over and brought me a gift card for JCPenney! Devonne and Billie then came over and brought a little present and some chai tea. I LOVE chai. Dad went home, then Mom got off work and came home. Devonne and Billie left. When Lydia got home from school she made me a cake. It was soooo pink! Tyler and my friend Nathan came over to help me celebrate. It was really nice to just have a few people over. Then when everyone was done partying Tyler and I got a nice movie night together. We watched 'Click' with Adam Sandler, and 'Talladega Nights' with Will Ferrel. It was a really fun birthday! Here are some pictures:

Auntie 'Teeka' and Billie.

Great Job!

The idea for this blog was for everyone in this rapidly growing family to stay in touch and it seems to be working great!

A few administrative notes:

1. Remember that you can edit or delete any post you've written by clicking on the little pencil icon that should appear next to it (if you're logged in). You can also delete any comments that you've written by clicking of the little trash can icon next to your comment.
2. To help with organization and searching, try and remember to include a category label/labels with your posts. If you have already written a post and want to add a label, see #1 above.
3. Due to a technical glitch with Blogger, the recent comments list won't display the most recent comment, so if you comment on a post, don't expect to see it on this list until someone writes a newer one. I'm working to fix this (if anyone out there is adept with blogger and wants to help, email me).
4. Just added a new list category on the right for family links. Email me (drew@wustl.edu) if you have a link you want added (personal blogs, photo albums, etc.).
5. If there is anyone you want me to invite to the blog, just let me know.

Lastly, if you have any other questions or ideas, just ask.

Keep those posts and comments coming!

We have some catching up to do.

I guess you could use one of those old socks filled with beans or rice like my dad does but Odie just seems to work alot better. We already had two cats, one dog, two birds and two hamsters at the time. Tonya decided that we need minature weener dog to boot. At first I was a little angry that she spent $$$$$ on him but as time progressed I grew to love him. Going to school and working full time can stress you out a bit and I have to admit my neck did get a little sore. Odie works pretty well if you put him behind your neck and let him sit for about 15 minutes. After about 15 minutes he warms up to a comfortable 100 degrees. I know it takes longer than a microwave but he is softer than one of my dads old socks and most likely smells better.

I can never go small when it comes to getting a christmas tree. Actually Zac picked this one out. Thats a ten foot ladder in the background. I felt like Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation when we cut that bad boy down. I am an experienced christmas tree cutter. I don't use those saws that they hand out to every Tom Dick and Harry. I use a chainsaw. It's me against the tree! If those tree's had legs they would run away when they saw me coming. I have my lumber jack shirt on with my black stocking cap and I am ready for action.

Patty's Grandchildren, Emi and Kati

Emi is wearing the party's Piñata as a spring hat and Kati decided to tend to her driving skills in her tike mobil. You go girls!

My poor husband

So Daniel & I had to go to Madigan Army Hospital today. I had to take him to the ER. He was playing softball with his squadron & he & another guy were going to catch a ball & they crashed into one another. He messed up his knee pretty badly. He has to wear a leg brace that covered 75% of his leg so as you can imagine it is very hard to walk in. He also is going to be denif which means that he obviously can't fly or do his job for quite a while. We are hoping for a quick recovery. Just wanted to let everyone know, so we can get as much prayer as possible for the poor guy. Thank you!

Love, Em :)

Quick Easter Pic.

Meant to get this up a bit closer to Easter but, well, time does fly doesn't it? Shiva had a blast searching for Easter Eggs, a good time was had by all.

I'll get some recent pics and a bit of news of how we're doing up later today.

Thought they were so funny i had to share. i'll tell you this last week was hard, i don't know how single parents do it, but i have allot more respect for them. All in all we made it through, and we are still alive.

Back to Maui

It's been three years since we have been to Maui and this time we are taking the kids with us! This will be the second family vacation in 12 years. Tonya has been doing a paper route for the last nine years, seven days a week. Although she really enjoys getting up at 2:00 am every morining, she is going to have to quit. Why? Because no one in their right mind would take on such a large route. I am sure she is going to miss driving around in the middle of January with the window rolled down and the heat turned off so she can stay awake!
We enjoyed the trip so much last time that we really wanted to share it with the kids. This will be the second family vacation we have taken since Zac was about 3 years old.

Ok, we have 12 new arrivials. baby chickens. They are now 1 month old and starting to get the

long feathers. They look like a teenager going through the not so attractive stage. We have some

Brown egg layers. Some GREEN egg layers. 6 Banties. They get all crazy feathers all over the place. There legs and feet are also covered in feathers. They lay eggs smaller than a normal sized egg. I will get some current pictures soon. Wendy hand feeds them worms. They are so funny when they get a worm. They run all around in circles as if to say "its mine, Its mine, catch me if you can."

Sean and Kristin

Our Engagement January 19, 2007
Sean and Kristin at the Condo before dinner at Anthony's.

I (Kristin) had planned a SURPRISE birthday party for our friend Rachel. I pulled out all the stops and was confident this was going to be the best surprise ever! Well, it was the best surprise ever, the surprise was on me! Everyone new that Sean was going to propose to me at Anthony's that night event the Birthday girl.

I obviously said yes!

We have set the date for August 12, 2007. Here are some pictures from that night January 19, 2007. You can also visit our web page for more details about the wedding..... www.theknot.com/ourwedding/kristindonovan&Sean drew
hope you all enjoy the pictures! Kristin = )

The Ring! We both love it! The sparkles are family sparkles from my mom's family and she gave it to us to do whatever we wanted with it. So I took the ring to Rings and Things in downtown Port Orchard and had them cut the diamond off the original mounting and place it in this mounting that is in now, more my style! No one will ever have a ring like this or even close to as special as this is to us!

Kristin and the birthday girl Rachel! She knew the whole time that I was planning a surprise party for!

I was very surprised, as you can see. I had been concentrating on Rachel's birthday party so heavily that the thought that this could happen did not even cross my mind.

The table behind us was kind enough to congratulate our big evening with a nice bottle of Bubbly! We of course went over and thanked them for their very kind gesture! And after that....we enjoyed the drink for sure!

I've always wanted more brothers!

I have 2 older brothers of my own, now 2 more older brothers! Good thing I can take the teasing and better watch out 'cause I can dish it out too!

All our friends were there to celebrate too!
There is Christian too, bottom of the picture on the left!!

These are my girls! Rachel top left, Me top right,
Tonya bottom left and Brandy bottom right!
There girls have been there for me and are very special!

Sean and Kristin!! happy couple!

We traded our very large motor home from a class "A" to a class "C". The kids love to go camping even though the weather is just not quite warm enough. We have gone twice now. The first time was in our drive way and the second in the protection of the barn. Kids don't care where you go, just love to do it.

Dietzman family Easter. All of us sick with strep throat except Brian. Had fun anyway. Its nice the kids still think the Easter Bunny is real. They are so cute.

Dr. told us not to go to church. Antiobotics hadden't kicked in yet.

New Addition to the Dietzman family

We have a new addition to the family. Will post pictures later. Great Idea for this blog. Its a great way to see everyone.

climbing at red rocks

hi there everybody!

I just got back from a vacation on tuesday and saw this blog thing, so here goes. I will now attempt to use this new and exciting resource to share a few pictures and stories from my trip with you all. For those that don't know I have really been getting into rock climbing lately, so it was the goal of this particular trip.

here is my friend rob and I at the airport real early in the morning.

Red rock canyon is in Las Vegas about twenty minutes from the strip.

this is a shot of the rocks as we drove up
(I really like the sky in this one)

Yep, that's me up there, leading the first climb of the trip! It was very steep and scary and I loved it. well ok maybe it's sort of a love hate thing.

I definitely loved margaritas at the pool afterwards though. That is the stratosphere tower behind me. I think it is only a shade whiter than I am.

I just thought this was a really cool half-burnt tree (especially with the background.)

so that is the short version there are about 150 more pictures here if you are interested.
