new year update

How is everyone, i haven't checked out the blog for awhile, just got caught up. Already a new year. Can anyone believe it's almost 2008? How did that happen? Christmas was wonderful. Mom surprised Lydia with a sewing machine! The silly picture of lydia was her entertaining my son Billie. I had to put it up to embarrass her. (hee hee). What will the new year bring? Our family will be opening another garage door company! Big plans, lots of work, but we're ready for the challenge. I can't believe my son is 3 yrs old already. Well, onto a new year. many blessings. The Rain.

Well, the Governor declared it an emergency and two people have died as a direct cause of the rain but me and mine have escaped even mild inconvenience portion of it so far. This is a gas station down the hill from my house. You can see the high water mark.

Down in the valley there is a lot of closed roads, washed out embankments, dark street lights, and mud.... lots and lots of mud.

Sean and kristin's Tree hunt

Sean and Kristin Drew's 1st Christmas Tree outing @ Bacon's Tree Farm off Old Belfair HWY 12/01/2007

Hey everyone,

Sean and I just got home from getting our first Christmas Tree. We went to Bacon's Tree Farm off Old Belfair HWY. We had a great time and wanted to share some of our picutes with you all.
We were so excited to go find our tree, after Sean grabbed a saw we were off! We ended up walking all over the tree farm and we are almost convinced that we may have actually cut a tree
from Zurn's, which is right next door! We were in the back 40, the Boonies, In the middle of Nowhere! Finally we found the perfect tree that met both our desires. Sean cut it down and the
journey began back to the headquarters to purchase the most beautiful tree ever! We must have been about a mile out...at least it felt like it! Sean took a "short cut" up a really steep hill
and then I helped him out the rest of the way. Half frozen we arrived at the designated area and had our tree measured and it was time to pay. We had been so excited to get started that we
had forgoten to check the price list before we went and cut our tree. Opppps! But we were in the clear..kinda. Our tree was a $1.80 more than what we had. Sean always has spare
change in his car and we were safe! Our tree is now home and soaking wet! We left it outside for about 1/2 hour and then brought it in and set in our livingroom with towels under it! I will
decorate it in a few days after it is fully dry!

Thought it would be nice to share our fun day with everyone!

A few weeks ago I helped a friend clean out her fathers garage, in short it took 5 of us 6 hours and 8 truck loads to do. In the end I had a small amount of stuff that was headed for Goodwill. In that pile I found a dollhouse kit from 1979, Shiva and I have been working on it ever since. I've made a gallery on the Greenleaf Dollhouse site that I'm using to follow my progress. Take a look if you get time.

Back From Maui

The photo on the right was taken in the Maui Ocean Center & the picture on the left was taken when we were diving. Both are great pictures but I would suggest diving. It's the same price! I give Maui Ocean Center one thumb down

Little butterfly. :)

Madison is now almost 23 weeks old. Wohoo! She's going to be a butterfly for Halloween! How cute is that? Very. She can sit up now by herself for about 45 seconds. We're working on it. Such a smart girl. :).

Also, I got a new car. Instead of a 1996 Geo Metro, I now have a 1999 Ford Escort. It's very nice. It's green too. That is all.

Thanksgiving Invitation

Drew Family,
You are all cordially invited to our house for the Thanksgiving celebration this year. Meal will probably be around 1:00. Email us as soon as you know whether you are able to come. It's a potluck and we will send around the sign up list in November. Special out of state guests will be here (M, J, & F). Hope we can have a full house.

Miss Madison is now 2 weeks away from 5 months. She is such a wonderful little girl! I cannot wait to show her off at Thanksgiving and Christmas! :).

Air Force Ball

On Saturday night, Daniel & I went to the 60th anniversary Air Force Ball. It was so much fun! Well, the sitting & listening to speakers in your formal wear isn't that fun but the dancing was SOOO much fun! Here's a few pictures for you all to enjoy!
