Dietzman family

Wendy got new head bands for Matthews birthday. They just love hammen it up.

As you can tell I finally got pictues off my camera...

Matthew was spiderman for his birthday

We hiked so high we found SNOW in August

Glacier Point

Rich is 6'2" kids like to do everything. Including climb trees

As we hiked the clouds came in over our heads. We got to the point and couldn't see anything. Glacier point 6200 ft.

Our vacation this week was really fun. Went to Alder lake to spend 4 days. Took the boat and found that the lake was to low to go for a ride.

Decided to go to Mt. Rainer for the day. We also went to Kanaskat-Palmer State park for 3 days.

We love to go camping. Kids getting big. Matthew just turned 4. Wendy is 6 and starts 1st grade on the 5th. She is really excited.

We are MARRIED!!!!

Hey guys,
well we did it we are MARRIED! I will put up pictures as soon as we get settled into the condo and things are back to normal! hope all who went had a great time and we missed the ones who weren't able to go.
LOve you all
Sean and Kristin Drew =)

Now the words.

I was going to do something other than just the posting of the pictures. But Maddy decided she was hungry. So, Lydia and I are in Yakima, visiting Kelley and Jesse. We are having a really good time. Maddy has been sleeping all night! Hooray! I didn't know if she would since she wasn't in her crib. But of course, she's amazing. Right now, K and J are at work, Lydia is tanning, and Maddy is refusing to take a nap. So I'm going to go try to get her to fall asleep. BYE.

To my Dad on his (54th) birthday

We don't always see eye to eye
arguments and sometimes harsh words
are felt with the heart, and not always heard
as god is my witness here i stand
to tell you i love you and not to demand
if i had a choice on what father to have
no better than you and that makes me glad
there comes a time when no words be said
and all anger is put to bed
the future before us sunny and bright
lead by Gods shining light
i felt it was time to speak my mind
what better way than in a birthday rhyme
billie says hi with love sent your way
hope you have a great birthday

love you dad happy birthday

Drew Family Potato Salad Basics

Cheri and I spoke yesterday about Mom's potato salad and we both agreed that we don't know anything about quantities, only the ingredients. It was always a mix and taste salad, so I am going to start this stream with the ingredients and we can work together and develop the whole recipe. Of course, with any Drew recipe, changes are not only likely, but manditory. Experimentation is always one of the ingredients. My memories of the basics of the salad are:
Big brown potatoes, boiled in their skins and peeled before they get mushy
Mayonaise
Yellow mustard
Boiled Eggs, chopped
Onions, minced
Dill pickles, minced or relish
Pickle juice
Salt & Pepper
Paprika sprinkled on top for color

Street Striping Surprise (Roadkill Art)

We couldn't come up with a good title for our discovery this afternoon, so we gave it two titles. The stripers have been busy along 22nd Avenue, making the white stripes more legible. Unfortunately, the street sweeper didn't preceed them.

recipes anyone?

i'm looking for potato salad and pasta salad recipies.
anyone got any? please post.

Men At Work - Freemantle Style

Westport at its best! Drew, Larry and Zac at the end of a great day at work! Now we just need to figure out which to eat first - the King, the Silver, the sea bass from a few weeks ago or the tuna - such decisions!!

Making stout

7 years ago I got a beer making kit as a gift. Until now I either hadn't had the desire to do it or had forgotten I had it. The other day I found all the parts and decided it was time to use it. I collected 42 beer bottles and replaced the parts that had gone bad and got to it. Boiling and stirring and mixing and pouring and a bit of swearing later and it was all in the carboy fermenting. This morning showed it was fermenting rather excitedly. Lucky all the spillage stayed on the wood floor and not into the carpet. I cleaned up the bottle and the floor and put the whole thing into a plastic plant tray. I'm hoping it slows down soon here.

In looking for the pictures of Sean (see post below), I also ran across this lovely photo from our wedding...

Three months old tomorrow!

She's growing up way too fast. She smiles and has just started giggling. A year is going to go by the next time I blink...... I'm going to have very dry eyes.

The last time we saw Sean in a tux...

...was at our wedding--18 years ago!!!! Doesn't he clean up nice:

Congratulations Sean and Kristen!
We're sorry we can't make it home next weekend for the wedding, but we're pretty sure you'll clean up just as well on your big day as you did for ours ;-)
