McMaddy.

Happy early Thanksgiving all! Here are a few pictures of 18 month old Maddy. Some of these were at the McDonalds play area. We met my friend Josh and his girlfriend there the other day. Maddy is doing well, you can tell she is on her way to two years old! She's got her mamas attitude for sure. She recently had a cold, so now she can say "Tylenol?" :) She is talking all the time. She says, "Yada." For Lydia and my friend Leda. "Citen" for my friend Nathan, "Yee-shaw!" for Alysia, "BEE!" for her cousin Billie, and any other name you ask her to say.
I'm at Albertsons, I usually work from about noon to nine. I rarely get to put Maddy to bed, which is a big bummer, but soon I will be getting trained at the customer service desk, and I also have been trained in the chippery. So, hope fully I will be getting off sooner than later.
One last interjection, I have met a guy. He's 20. Works at Boeing. (Wooo!) & has a 2 year old. Nothing going on, we have just started hanging out. :)
There's a little update. I'm going to go chase Maddy.
Goodbye!

Grandpa Pat is headed for the hospital to be part of the welcoming committee for "Maddy"....Keep Madison, Alesta and Tyler in your prayers.

A little update.

No sign of Cooper. This is day 4. I made posters and drove around Port Orchard. Someone at this coffee shop called 'The Bethel Buzz' said that they saw a dog that looked like Cooper but when they tried to call him he ran away. That sounds like something he would do. Tyler and I have called the pound two times. No sign of him. So we're just praying that we either find him or he is somewhere safe. I miss him.

Also, Tyler has moved into my place of residence. AKA my Mother's house. He isn't having much luck at home right now. and Madison could come early. So, he is staying in our cottage and I sleep in the living room. But that is ok, because the couch helops me not move around alot at night. It's Grandma's old couch too! Haha. But, I would appreciate prayers for Tyler too.

Other than that, I have an appt. in half an hour. So I need to go.
Thanks for reading.

Easter thanks and additions to the family.

Today is truly a day of miracles. Today we celebrate the fact that Christ arose from the dead after taking upon Himself all of the sins of the world. Although tradition states that Thanksgiving is the day of giving thanks, I believe that it is more fitting to do so on Easter. It is because of the resurrection of Christ that we have hope both in life and in death.

That said, it is a perfect day to log my first entry on this blog. I want to start my day, every day, with the positive, not the negative. It is easy for me to feel down these days but I am reminded of what Dad used to say when I was worried or troubled (paraphrased): "As a Christian your worries belong to God." Stated another way, when you take your cares and concerns to the altar, don't pick them up again when you leave.

Here's a couple of the positive events in my life:

Last June, Emma married Daniel Denman. Daniel is currently serving our country in the US Air Force and I couldn't be prouder of him if he was my own son. (You can see Emma's entry on this blog.) I know several of you reading this haven't seen all of my girls for awhile so here's a picture from the wedding.

It fills me with pride when I see this picture. All of my daughters have grown into beautiful young women.

Another event is coming soon, next month, in fact. I will be a grandpa for the second time in May. Alesta and Tyler are expecting Maddy to arrive around May 20th. To welcome her into this world, a party was held at Devonne's house. I was there to help keep my grandson, Billie, occupied. This is Patty and me with Alesta. Billie is in the foreground.

This was another of those rare occasions where all of my girls were together.

Finally, here's the guest of honor, Madison. Think she has my eyes, Don't you?
