Hi Everyone! Larry has been working almost full time on the Airstream . The aqua flooring gets installed tomorrow - photos to follow. I've been Betsy Rossing -- hand-stitching a flag for our Airstream (complete with silver beads to simulate rivets.) We want to get as much done as we can by mid-September for the Tin Can Tourist rally at Lynden. All trailers and RV's there will be 25 years or older. It's a great place for owners and the "just curious" to spend some time looking at vintage cars and trailers.
Now, my request: Take a minute. Upload a photo. (Babies and children change quickly.) Write a few sentences. What is your most recent family news? Any new jobs, homes, hobbies, accomplishments, presentations, vacations????? We want to know.

My poor husband
So Daniel & I had to go to Madigan Army Hospital today. I had to take him to the ER. He was playing softball with his squadron & he & another guy were going to catch a ball & they crashed into one another. He messed up his knee pretty badly. He has to wear a leg brace that covered 75% of his leg so as you can imagine it is very hard to walk in. He also is going to be denif which means that he obviously can't fly or do his job for quite a while. We are hoping for a quick recovery. Just wanted to let everyone know, so we can get as much prayer as possible for the poor guy. Thank you!
Love, Em :)

I have screwed this up way too many times

So I think that I have this down now. Just wanted to send out a quick hello to everyone! Daniel & I (& little Beans) are doing well. Daniel just left for a ten day trip so no Easter with the husband this year. :( Such is life in the military! Anyway, these pictures are from yesterday at Point Defiance Park. It was so nice out!!!

The First Post

Welcome to the Drew Family Blog!
So here we go with our new form of communication. Email has been great, but wouldn't it be nice to have a way of "checking in" to see what's new with everyone? Of course this will be especially helpful for those of us who live halfway across the country, but I'm sure there are many of you who occasionally feel out of the loop even though you just live just a few miles from one another. Perhaps you have some photos from a recent event (birth of a child/grandchild, graduation, wedding, birthday, vacation etc.) or maybe a little bit of prose or poetry that you would like to share. Have you tried out a new killer recipe, or maybe just want to remind everyone of an old family favorite? Seen a good movie or read a great book? Give us your review! Remember, no post is too long or to short. For example, I know we all appreciate a good one-liner from time to time (The doctor says "You'll live to be 60!" "I AM 60!" "See, what did I tell you?" ).
Technical expertise is not required (although we certainly have plenty of tech savvy resources within our clan) so don't feel intimidated. Uploading photos is easy, and all photos posted will be saved in our own private photo album that you can access. If you're really feeling technically adept, you can even post text and photos from your cell phone!
Good luck and have fun!
